The Redmi K40 and K40 Pro will be unveiled on February 25 . That’s a long time to wait for the specs – what does the Pro have that the vanilla doesn’t? Well, these leaked screenshots of the About screen answer that in detail.                                                     Both phones will have 6.81” AMOLED screens with 1440p+ resolution . Xiaomi has already officially confirmed that they use the same E4 luminous material as the Mi 11 , so this is quite possibly the exact same panel (with 120 Hz and HDR10+ support). Now, for the differences. The Redmi K40 Pro will be equipped with the Snapdragon 888 chipset, while the vanilla phone will use the Snapdragon 870 (an overclocked 865) . As for the teased Dimensity 1200 version, that will probably be called the Redmi K40S. So, this year we're going to see three different model of Redmi K series.

Samsung Galaxy S9/S9+, Note 9 & Note 10 Lite have same Exynos 9810 SoC but only one gets Android 11 (One UI 3) update.     Samsung is one of many Android OEMs that only provides two major Android updates for its devices. This is somewhat of a disappointment as it is one of the biggest competitors to Apple and its iPhones which often get 4-5 years worth of major iOS updates. That being said, Samsung has been raising the prices for its flagships for many years now. However, it is yet to extend its software support. This is despite the fact that some smartphones even make use of the same chipset. Take for example the Galaxy Note 10 Lite which released early in the year.
